
CALABASH — Samuel Anthony ‘Sam’ Cochran, 78, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018.
Born Aug. 25, 1940, in Charleston, South Carolina, he was the son of late Demal and St. Clair Cochran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Robert Cochran.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Glenn Cochran of Calabash; daughter, Jennifer Cochran Oakes (Greg) of Shallotte; son, Anthony Cochran (Joellyn) of Leland; and his beloved granddaughters, Taylor and Ashley Oakes of Shallotte.
Sam was employed as a district manager for Morton Salt International until his retirement. After retirement, he was employed at Crow Creek in Calabash.
He enjoyed golfing with friends and never met a stranger. Sam loved his family and the communities he resided in Greensboro and Calabash.
A service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 28, at Brunswick Funeral Service. A celebration of life will follow the service at the Crow Creek Clubhouse, 490 S. Crow Creek Dr., Calabash.
