WILMINGTON — Marie Hassell Eason, 76, passed away Monday, Sept. 10, 2018.
Survivors include her children, Angela Renee Eason Dykes (Sandy), Vaughn Antony Eason, Courtney Marie Eason Allen (Theodore) and Yvonne Anita Eason; sisters, Delores Rhodes (Nick), Anita Ojeko and Vivian Ajaye; brothers, Ervin Hassell (Vera) and Bill Hassell; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 28, at Davis Funeral Home, 901 S. 5th Ave., Wilmington. A celebration of Ms. Eason’s life will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 29, at St. Andrews AME Zion Church, 1201 S. 9th St., Wilmington. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
