CASTLE HAYNE — Bobby Dewitt Page, 87, died peacefully in his sleep Saturday night, Sept. 2, 2018.
Bobby was married to Ruth Ann Harper Page April 26, 1952. He was baptized September 1958 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. They enjoyed many years together in Kinston.
He is survived by his son, Bobby B. Page, and his wife, Lisa; Pamela Ruth Moye, and her husband, Bill; and Beth Robinson, and her husband, Rob. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeff.
After retirement in 1990, they moved to Morehead City, where he could pursue his hobby, fishing. They were able to enjoy living on the intercostal many years. It became necessary in 2016 to move to Castle Hayne, where he could be close to family. He has enjoyed riding his golf cart and making friends in the neighborhood. He became a permanent fixture on the dock in his “fishing wheelchair.” He appreciated conversation from passerby in the neighborhood.
A memorial will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4806 Gordon Road, Wilmington. A visitation will be held afterward in the River Bluffs community Castle Hayne.
