Roy Ellsworth Reck, 89, retired logistics supervisor

SHALLOTTE — Roy Ellsworth Reck, 89, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2018. Born Oct. 3, 1928, in Mount Union, Pennsylvania, he was a son of Roy Ellworth Reck Sr. and Roseanne Hooper Reck.

He was a retired supervisor with the U.S. government logistics.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Roy Reck Jr.; and daughter, Donna Lee Zacainni.

Surviving are his wife, Anna Booth Reck; daughters, Andrea Rhodes (Charlie), Sandra Pender (Irving) and Patricia Allred;
sons, Donald Ervin (Frances), Victor Ervin, Earl Ervin (Debbie) and Michael Ervin; and 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m, Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 6, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.
