WILMINGTON — Annie Pearl Spivey Sarvis, 79, was born Oct. 20, 1938, in Columbus County. She passed away peacefully Aug. 25, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack (Ray) Sarvis; parents, Joseph Garland Spivey and Charlotte McCumbee Spivey; two sisters, Lois Jeanette Spivey and Margaret Spivey Beaujon; one brother, James Miles Spivey; and daughter, Rita Ann Sarvis Gamble.

She is survived by her son, Rickie Sarvis (Wanda); grandchildren, Billy Sarvis (Karyn), Lisa Sarvis (Mikey) and Brian Sarvis; great-grandchildren, Madison Fowler (Hunter), Brittany Brock, Michael Hall Jr., Brian Sarvis Jr., Sean Sarvis and Dylan Sarvis; great-great-grandchildren, Gentry, Brantley, Averi and Liam; two brothers, Charles Malcolm Spivey Sr. (Pamela) and Joseph Niles Spivey; three sisters, Lillie Jane Barnes, Mary Alice Spivey Bennett and Jacqueline Gray Spivey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Annie was a longtime member of Castle Hayne Baptist Church. She was devoted to her family, church family and friends. While her loss will leave a hole to huge to fill, her support and unconditional love will live in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Andrews Hampstead Chapel officiated by the Rev. Billy Fowler and the Rev. Wayne Holley. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. prior to services. Interment will follow in Seal Lawn Memorial Park, Hampstead.
