ASH — Boyd Inman, 84, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Autumn Care of Shallotte.
He was born Sept. 15, 1933, in Brunswick County, the son of the late Frank and Madge Grant Inman. He was preceded in death by a sister, Annie Vance, and her husband, Teddy; brothers, Homer Inman, and his wife, Muriel, Aaron Inman, and his wife, Helen, Howard Inman, and his wife, Eula Bell, Sam Inman, Silas Inman and Lloyd Inman, and his wife, Rachel.
Mr. Inman attended New Britton Baptist Church, Ash.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Alta Inman of the home; four children, Lynn Inman, and his wife, Diane, Wade Inman, and his wife, Valecia, Cindy Hughes, and her husband, Kenny, and Pam Smith, and her husband, Sammy, all of Ash; brother, George Inman and his wife, Ola, also of Ash; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Edna Inman of Shallotte and Anna Neal Inman of Tabor City; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 3, at New Britton Baptist Church with the Rev. Stephen Nobles and the Rev. Jason Benton officiating. Burial will follow in the Bill Inman Cemetery. Friends are invited to a time of visitation with the family one hour prior to the service at the church.
