Teena Bullock Blackburn, 76, remembered for her devotion to family

WILMINGTON — Teena Bullock Blackburn, 76, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at her residence.

She was born Sept. 4, 1941, in South Carolina, the daughter of the late Joe Malcolm Bullock and Lena Cannon Bullock. Also remembered is her sister, Irene Hopkins, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Jimmy Blackburn, and his wife, Paula, and Michael Blackburn; two grandsons, James Lee Blackburn, and his wife, Angela, and Stephen Matthew Blackburn; one sister, Pat Tedder; and one brother, Harold Bullock.

Teena will be remembered for the devotion and love she always had for her family.

“Yesterday, our Mother, our Grandmother was in poor health and spent most of her days in pain. Today, she dances before the throne of the Lord, and Heaven rings with God’s laughter.”

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 22, at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 p.m.
