LELAND — Russell Lee Gambill Jr., 58, went to be with his heavenly Father Friday, June 22, 2018. He was born May 28, 1960, in Dunn, the son of Russell and Patricia Gambill of Wilmington.
He was an electrical engineer and industrial electrician for 40 years and worked in both the United States and China. He was a supervisor at Corning Corporation for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed building and riding motorcycles as well as refurbishing automobiles.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Ann Gambill, and is survived by his parents, Russell Lee Gambill and Patricia Lee Gambill of Wilmington; and brother, Lewis “Buddy” Gambill of Gallup, New Mexico. He will be sorely missed by family and friends.
Viewing will be at 1 p.m., followed by funeral services at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 27, at Andrews Hampstead Chapel in Hampstead. Interment will follow in Sea Lawn Memorial Park.
