HAMPSTEAD — Antonio “Anthony” Campellone, 19, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at his home.
He is survived by his beloved father and mother, Vincenzo and Elizabeth Campellone; and siblings, Vincenzo Campellone (Courtney Campellone), Maria Smith (David Smith) and Nicole Campellone. Anthony was the beloved uncle to niece, Isabella Campellone, and three nephews, Blake Smith, Mason Campellone and Everett Smith. He was grandson to Vincenzo Campellone, the late Maddalena Campellone and Edward and Elizabeth Hillgen. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Antonio was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and moved to North Carolina in 2005. He was a loving son, brother and uncle who loved to teach his niece and nephew all kinds of sports. He excelled in sports, especially football and baseball. Anthony made many friends in his short life. He was a true and loyal friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive visitors from 3 to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 12, at Andrews Mortuary, Hampstead Chapel, with words of remembrance at 4:30 p.m.
