
CALABASH — Ann Justine Michaels, 70, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018, at her home surrounded by her husband and family after a brief, courageous battle with cancer. Born Nov. 29, 1947, in Kingston, New York, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Verna Pearson Noble.
Ann was married in 1970 to Richard J. Michaels. She had been a longtime resident of Saugerties, New York, and was employed at Central Hudson for many years. She spent the last 10 years of her life doing what she loved most: golfing, traveling the world and doting on her grandchildren.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by three children, Richard D. Michaels (Stacey) of New Hartford, New York, Lisa Michaels of Mamaroneck, New York, and Karyn Pavich (Johnny) of Astoria, New York; five grandchildren, Daniel and Matthew Michaels and Ivo, Marko and Lana Pavich; sister, Pamela Carroll (John) of Bernville, Pennsylvania; and brother, Paul V. Noble (Regina) of Port Charlotte, Florida. One sister, Karen E. Noble, preceded her in death.
A celebration of Ann’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 11, at the VFW in Calabash. Interment will be private.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in Ann’s memory to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation.
