WILMINGTON — Kathy M. Bink, 69, went to join her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday, April 29, 2018, with her husband of 50 years by her side after a brief, but hard-fought battle, with cancer.
She was born to Edward and Margaret Ruland of West Caldwell, New Jersey.
She is survived by her husband, John Bink; son, John Bink, and his wife, Louisa, of Hackettstown, New Jersey; daughter, Kimberly Martin, and her husband, Shayn, of Clemmons, North Carolina; and four grandchildren, Ryan, Zach, Samantha and Jessica.
Kathy retired from UCP/Easter Seals, where she was an employment specialist. She was a supervisor/trainer with Applied Resources in New Jersey before moving to North Carolina. Kathy enjoyed cruising, gardening, waterfalls and walks on the beach. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren, of whom she was very proud. Kathy was an active member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, volunteering in many groups and proudly serving as a Stephen Minister.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 5, at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 612 S. College Road, Wilmington.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the training of Stephen Ministers at St. Matthew’s, 612 S. College Road, Wilmington, NC 28403, would be appreciated. Please make checks payable to St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church with Stephen Ministers, in the memo line.
