HAMPSTEAD — James William “Bill” Haines III, 46, unexpectedly passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018, after a motor vehicle collision on Highway 210 West, Hampstead.
Bill was born Nov. 26, 1971, in Frederick, Maryland, to parents, James William Haines Jr. and Sylvia Haines.
Bill was a longtime resident of Hampstead and a pillar of the community. As a resident of Washington Acres and Deerfield communities, Bill was known for his big heart and passion for empowerment of those around him. He was the regional manager of Guaranteed Rate Mortgage in Wilmington. He was also a member and past master of Wilmington Lodge 319.
Bill is survived by his wife, Stacey Mackley Haines; two daughters, Skyler Haines and Zoe Haines; father, James W. Haines Jr.; stepmother, Jeanette Haines; sisters, Lisa Haines and Crystal Geiman; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was known by many and loved by all. Many memories of him will be cherished for decades to come, and imprinted on the two strong daughters of whom he was so proud. He was a person who left an indelible imprint in his wake and lifted all those that he passed by. A man who had so much ahead of him, yet left such a vacuum in his absence. He will be sorely missed.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 29, at the Scottish Rite Temple, 1415 S. 17th St., Wilmington.
