
BOLIVIA — Maggie Aileen Evans Pierce Galloway, 90, passed away Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Early Ezekiel and Retha Ann Long Evans. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family and spending time with them was her passion. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Bolivia.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Royal Vaile Pierce (1953); second husband of 54 years, Clyde Galloway (2012); and brothers Willie, Thurman, Odell and Eugene Evans.
She is survived by her daughter, Eloise Pierce Causey of Shallotte; sons, Clyde Alan Galloway of Raleigh and Franklin Earl Galloway of Bolivia; grandchildren, Joseph Causey of Shallotte and April Trull, and her husband, Mark, of Bolivia; great-grandchildren, Christopher Evans, and his wife, Amanda, Patrick Evans, Nicholas and Carleigh Causey; and sisters, Annie Laura Long of Ash and Rachel Benton of Wilmington.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 17, at White Funeral and Cremation Service Shallotte Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 18, at Galloway Family Cemetery, 549 Galloway Road N.E., Bolivia, with Preacher Brian Clemmons officiating.
