SUPPLY — Roy Douglas Todd Sr., age 73, of Supply, died Saturday Nov. 19, 2016, at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick.

Mr. Todd was born in Brunswick County, N.C., on April 22, 1943, and was the son of Henry and Robie Clemmons Todd. He was a charter member and former Chief of Tri-Beach Fire Department and also was a member and former Chief of Coastline Rescue Squad.

He was an avid fisherman and member of the Brunswick County BassMasters. He also received the North Carolina Order of the Long Leaf Pine in honor of the many years of service to his community. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Todd, his wife Pinta Bellamy Todd and two brothers, Kelly and Chester Todd.

He is survived by his mother, Robie C. Todd of Shallotte; three sons, Roy Douglas Todd Jr. and wife Jayne, William Curtis “Murphy” Todd and wife Jenny, Lester Todd and wife Sonja ; a daughter, Maria Robbins and husband Brad all of Supply; two sisters, Judy Danford of Shallotte and Pat Taylor of Supply; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 23, at eleven o’clock in the morning at First Baptist Church of Shallotte with Reverend Jason Benton officiating. An interment service will follow in the Sabbath Home Baptist Church Cemetery. Active and honorary pallbearers will be members of the Brunswick County BassMasters.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to SECU Hospice House of Brunswick, 955 Mercy Lane, Bolivia, NC 28422.

Friends are invited to a time of visitation with the family on Tuesday, Nov. 22, from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening at White Funeral Service, 3660 Express Drive, Shallotte.
