WILMINGTON — Zola Mae Jones Morton, 82, of Wilmington, N.C., passed away on Nov. 4, 2016.
She was born on September 23, 1934, to the late Noie Sexton Jones and Una Williams Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roderick (Roddy) Eugene Morton.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and successful business woman.
She is survived by her children: Janice Morton, Donald Morton and wife Kay, Larry Morton, David Morton and wife Teresa; brother, Bruce Jones and wife Myrtle; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
