Norma Rogers Blackall, 89, of Carolina Beach, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. She was born December 13, 1926, in Jacksonville, Fla.

She was the daughter of the late Douglas and Ruth (Bach) Rogers. For many years, she worked as a computer operator for Seaboard Coast Line Railroad company. Norma enjoyed gardening, feeding the ducks, sewing, embroidering and reading the Bible at night. The love of her life was her cat, Missy.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Blackall.

She is survived by her son, Norman Ralph Hunter, and his wife, Donna, of Ochlockee, Ga.; three daughters, Terry R. Douglas of Orlando, Fla., Carol, and her husband, Anthony Perniciaro, of Wilmington, and Amy L. Davis, and her husband, J.D., of Fredericksburg; 12 grandchildren, Jeremy, Brian, Alex, Vincent, Marc, Kathleen, Reece, Gregory, Douglas, and Jeffery, Faith, Kailey and Adam; and two great-grandchildren, Connor and Sophia.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4, at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church, 5524 Myrtle Grove Road, Wilmington, with the Rev. Paul Walters officiating.
