Nancy Russ Carter, 50, of Shallotte, died Thursday, March 24, 2016 at her residence.
Nancy was born in New Hanover County on February 6, 1966, and was the daughter of David Leroy Russ of Leland and Mary H. Harts of Rocky Point. She was a member of Ocean View Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her husband, Michael Carter; three children, Michael Adam Savage, April Nichole Carter Gibson and Ashley Renee’ Carter; two brothers, Johnny Harts and David Russ; two sisters, Desiree Owens and Rosette Russ; and eight grandchildren.
The family received friends on Sunday, March 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 3660 Express Drive, Shallotte. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 28, at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Brad Hardwick officiating. Burial will follow in the Mintz Cemetery.
