LELAND — Leland is adding a new attraction to one of its parks.

The town will cut the ribbon on the new StoryWalk at Westgate Nature Park Saturday afternoon. The event, which runs from 1 to 3 p.m., is open to the public.

The walk is made up of 18 panels along the park’s 0.3-mile trail with oages from a children’s book. The book will change each quarter, and the first is author Kevin Kirk’s “The Traveling Coin.”

The ribbon cutting will be followed by crafts, face painting, and a meet and greet with Kirk.

Parking at Westgate Nature Park is limited. A free shuttle will run from the Leland Cultural Arts Center as well.

The StoryWalk is presented by the North Brunswick Kiwanis Club and cosponsored by the Town of Leland and First Bank.

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT, and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ferguson.
