Man faces methamphetamine, trafficking charges

WILMINGTON — A man has been arrested after a traffic stop on Saturday evening for multiple drug offenses.

The Wilmington Police Department made the stop near 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 5 in the 1500 block of Church Street. They pulled over 43-year-old Frederick Rich of Clinton for a window tint violation.

Assisting the officers was the K9 Unit after a search of the vehicle. They confiscated 46 grams of methamphetamine, in addition to drug paraphernalia.

Rich was arrested and charged with felony possession schedule II controlled substance, PWIMSD methamphetamine, trafficking in methamphetamine, window tinting violation, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

He is currently being held at the NHCSO Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond.
