Annual Brunswick Electric charity auction begins next week

BRUNSWICK COUNTY — The local not-for-profit electric distribution utility, Brunswick Electric, is offering its members the chance to score a new ride while benefiting a community grants program. 

The sealed-bid auction will begin on Sept. 6 at 8 a.m. and run until Sept. 16 at 3 p.m. Brunswick Electric members will have the opportunity to cast bids for cars, trucks, equipment and more. Bid sheets will be available in the Brunswick Electric office lobby located at 795 Ocean Hwy W, Supply, North Carolina. All items up for auction will be in the office parking lot, along the fence behind the second building available to view.

Winners will be notified via a Brunswick Electric representative.

Brunswick Electric’s community grants program projects for non-profit organizations and community groups. Since 2003, more than $680,000 has been given back to local communities through the program. Eligible groups may apply to Brunswick Electric in December for grants up to $2,500 each year for projects that fall into these five areas: family services, civic and community programs, cultural and arts programs, emergency services, and economic development.

  • 2011 Ford F-150 with 159,890 miles, $2,500
  • 2011 Ford F-150 with 194,907 miles, $2,500
  • 2011 Ford F-150 with 108,460 miles, $3,500
  • 2008 Chevrolet Express Cargo Van with 215,025 miles, $1,500
  • 2008 Ford F-150 with 253,368 miles, $2,500
  • 2007 Chevrolet Silverado with 238,692 miles, $2,500
  • 2007 Chevrolet Silverado with 234,389 miles, $2,500
  • 2007 Chevrolet Impala with 138,976 miles, $1,500
  • 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 with 124,757 miles, $2,500
  • 2000 ChevroletC/K 3500 Flatbed with 132,530 miles, $3,000
