Power outages expected in Wrightsville Beach Tuesday evening

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH — A traffic accident on Wrightsville Beach could impede power at area homes and businesses while repairs are underway.

According to the town, a vehicle collided into a power pole on West Salisbury Street Tuesday afternoon. As crews repair the damage, power may be interrupted around 6 p.m. or soon thereafter and can last anywhere from two to four hours.

Areas likely impacted will be north of Salisbury Street — Pelican Drive, Marina Street, portions of West Salisbury Street, and potentially other areas near these streets.
