Two-month maintenance to take place on Brunswick County road

BRUNSWICK COUNTY — According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, a road in Brunswick County will close over the next few months so maintenance crews can repave it.

Goose Creek Road in Ocean Isle Beach has deteriorated, the NCDOT has reported. Crews will undercut, backfill, compact, and repave it starting July 25, 7 a.m. It will be closed for about two months while construction is underway.

NCDOT will detour drivers to Hale Swamp Road and Beach Drive. All motorists are asked to proceed with caution through the work zones.
