Juvenile shot early Saturday morning

WILMINGTON — Around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, a ShotSpotter alert notified police. Upon arrival in the 400 block of N. 30th Street, the officers found a 17-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound.

Law enforcement provided medical aid and the victim was transported by EMS to Novant Regional Medical Hospital.

According to a release, the juvenile is in stable condition.
