BELVILLE — New signage will hang over the riverwalk in a small Brunswick County town in the coming weeks.
Belville has been transforming property that was transferred to the town in 2013. It’s part of its Vision 2030 plan to enhance the town’s waterfront, originally named Brunswick Riverwalk Park.

“As our new downtown begins to take shape, we wanted to highlight the location of the Riverwalk Park,” Athina Williams, Town Manager, said in a press release.
It will be changed “to better capture its location within Belville,” according to a release from the town. The new name will be Belville Riverwalk.
A live camera also will be installed in the park close. It will be used for local media company — and Port City Daily media partner — WECT’s First Alert SkyCam Network.
“The new camera will be beneficial to our citizens and staff,” Williams added in the release.
It’s located along the Belville near the boat ramp — the same area used for “multiple rescues during Hurricane Florence,” the release said.
The feed also will be available through the Town of Belville’s website.
