TOPSAIL BEACH — Crews will begin work on dune restoration in North Topsail Beach May 2. The project is expected to last all week and wrap by May 6.
Starting Monday, the contractor for the town will “mobilize on the north end of the project area near Marina Way and work back to the Jenkins Way beach access,” according to a release from the town. Crews then will work from the southend of the project, close to the pier, back to the access point. The project will be completed by 5 p.m. Friday.
Through the duration of the restoration, Jenkins Way parking lot and access will be closed all week. Beachgoers should plan to find an alternate path to the shoreline.
