Gov. Roy Cooper has nominated Tenisha Jacobs to serve as special superior court judge, designated to the business court. Jacobs will fill a vacant spot created Dec. 30, 2021.
Currently, Judge Jacobs serves as general counsel to the N.C. Department of Revenue. Prior, she was an administrative law judge at the N.C. Office of Administrative Hearings, as well as a special deputy attorney general at the N.C. Department of Justice.
Jacobs attended Duke University to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree, N.C. Central University for her Juris Doctor, and Georgetown University Law Center for her master of laws in taxation.
