WILMINGTON — The U.S. News and World Report has listed UNCW among its 2023 Best Graduate Schools. It ranks science, social sciences and humanities, health, and other programs based on academic expert ratings.
UNCW’s rank overall increased 25 places, while its public affairs program increased its position by nine places.
The part-time MBA, social work and geology programs were also ranked, and the geology program reached recognition on the list during its first year.
Two types of data are taken into account within the Best Graduate Schools ranking list: expert opinion and statistical information. All MBA and education program rankings are juried on data and peer assessments submitted by the colleges/universities.
As far as the UNCW geology, public affairs and social work programs, peer assessments are the major influence on its ranking.
The UNCW graduate programs were also recognized for being one of the top online programs of 2022, specifically, the online nursing program, which was came in the top 50 on the “Best Online Master’s in Nursing” list.
Both UNCW’s online master’s in business and master’s in education programs were also ranked in the 2022 top online programs report.
