Pender County extends public comment period for parks and rec master plan

BURGAW — Since opening of the public comment period on Feb. 22, Pender County Parks and Recreation is looking for ideas on it 2022-2032 Pender County Parks and Recreation Comprehensive Master Plan. The period has been extended for community input through Mar. 30.

Based on the area’s recreation needs for additional parks, facilities, and programs, the Pender County Parks and Recreation Department consistently updates its master plan. It has been in place since 2010 and was adopted by the county parks and recreation.
