NORTH CAROLINA — Submissions are open for students within the state to apply for a North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF) scholarship. NCCF has more than $1.5 million available in funds to help pay for college at 120 N.C. institutions.
NCCF partners with fundholders to distribute hundreds of scholarship options across North Carolina. Scholarships are created with distinct funds whose criteria are established by the original sponsor.
In 2021, NCCF awarded nearly $1.1 million in scholarships to 289 students within the state. Scholarship recipients came from 126 NC cities, and a large portion of the scholarship aid was used at North Carolina colleges and universities.
All students in the state have the opportunity to apply for funding; requirements vary. Most applications are required to be submitted in March and April; however, some deadlines span from mid-February to early June.
NCCF scholarship applicants are encouraged to review instructions on NCCF’s website. Searches can be made by county to find potential scholarships and the criteria that follows.
Applications are available on the NCCF Online Application System, and must be submitted by the according deadlines.
