Victim of Thursday’s shooting in Wilmington dies

WILMINGTON — A man shot Thursday evening in Wilmington has passed away.

Devin Williams, 32, was found by officers suffering life-threatening injuries in the 200 block of North 31st Street just after 5:30 p.m.

He was transported by EMS to New Hanover Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead later in the night.

The homicide is still under investigation. WPD is asking anyone with information to call 910-343-3609. People can also send a message to 847411 using the keyword WPDNC or utilize the Tip 411 app.
