Street closed near downtown Wilmington due to sewer repair

WILMINGTON – Cape Fear Public Utility Authority announced it closed a block near downtown Wilmington while crews are on site to make an urgent sewer repair.

The 700 block of North 11th St. will be closed for around eight hours and traffic will be blocked off on North 11th, starting from Hanover to Fanning streets.

Residents along this block will be allowed access, though a detour has been created for other motorists. Drivers will be routed to North 10th Street instead.
