Extras needed for 1970s concert scene in Paramount series ‘George and Tammy’

WILMINGTON — Extras are needed for an upcoming scene being shot in Wilmington for the Paramount series “George and Tammy.”

From showrunner Abe Sylvia (“Nurse Jackie,” “Dead to Me”), “George and Tammy” stars Michael Shannon and Jessica Chastain as ’70s country-music power couple George Jones and Tammy Wynette. The show is based on the book, “The Three of Us: Growing Up with Tammy and George”, written by the couple’s daughter, Georgette Jones.

Males and females, ages 18 and over, are needed for an upcoming concert scene, slated to be filmed on Jan. 21. All who apply must be available for a costume fitting and Covid tests.

Speciality rates will be offered to background; standard pay is $80 for eight hours, and time and half for every hour surpassing the eighth. Two mandatory Covid-19 tests will be required: $50 extra will be paid for the first test and a minimum $20 bump for fittings.

The series is specific to the ’70s with limited wardrobe sizes. All applicants must include accurate measurements in the TW Cast and Recruit database.
