New Hanover Sheriff’s Department seeking missing man

Update: Sheriff’s department announced on Monday, Mar. 29, Villari has been found safe in Columbus County.

NEW HANOVER COUNTY — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Department is asking for help in finding 31-year-old Salvatore “Sal” Villari.

Villari was last seen on Mar. 27 at 1420 Avenel Dr. in Wilmington. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, grey track pants, and grey and blue running shoes.

Villari has a medium build, at 5’8” and 156 pounds. He has brown eyes, brown hair, and a knot tattoo on the inside of his hand.
