Novant Health announced Wednesday it will raise its minimum wage from $12.50 to $15 an hour. The increase will benefit more than 2,000 employees and will become effective Jan. 2021.
Novant Health operates Brunswick Novant Medical Center in Bolivia and is under contract to purchase New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
“Novant Health is dedicated to caring for our communities, starting with our own team members,” Carl Armato, president and CEO of Novant Health, said in a press release. “Though we’ve adjusted our living wage over the past several years, we recognized an opportunity to further invest in our team members to ensure they have the resources they need to live and thrive in the communities we serve.”
