Checking in with tri-county schools: 23 Covid-19 cases in New Hanover, 11 in Brunswick and 10 in Pender

SOUTHEASTERN N.C. — New Hanover County Schools reported 23 Covid-19 cases this week, including one in central office, according to the NHCS public online dashboard. Forty-one people were directed to quarantine after being exposed to the virus at school.

Since Oct. 12, NHCS has recorded 995 positive cases total. Here is the breakdown for the week of May 14:

Brunswick County Schools

Brunswick County Schools is reporting 11 active Covid-19 cases and more than 150 precautionary quarantines as of Friday afternoon on its online dashboard.

Since Aug. 21, the school system has recorded 467 positive cases overall.

Pender County Schools

Pender County Schools is showing 10 Covid-19 cases and 82 quarantines for the week of May 3-9, according to the most recent update on its dashboard.

Since Aug. 1, 618 staff and students in Pender County tested positive for Covid-19.
