SOUTHEASTERN N.C. — Two New Hanover County high schools are seeing high Covid-19 levels. Hoggard and Laney high schools both have 10 cases each. Neither are deemed clusters at this time.
New Hanover County schools reported 39 Covid-19 cases over the past week, according to the NHCS’ public online dashboard. Ninety-five people were directed to quarantine for exposure of the virus in school.
Since Oct. 12, NHCS has reported 926 positive cases total. Here is the breakdown for the week of Apr. 23:

Brunswick County Schools
Brunswick County Schools is reporting seven active Covid-19 cases and over 100 precautionary quarantines as of Friday afternoon.
Since Aug. 21, the school system has recorded 441 positive cases overall.
Port City Daily obtains its numbers for BCS through the district’s online dashboard, which is made up of data from the Brunswick County Health Department.

Pender County Schools
Pender County Schools updated its dashboard on Apr. 19 and is showing nine Covid-19 cases and 198 quarantines.
The district reports positive cases that are either self reported or learned through the Pender County Health Department.
Since Aug. 1, 559 staff and students in Pender County tested positive for Covid-19. 541 people have recovered.
