Blue Clay Road section closed a couple days in May

WILMINGTON — Starting next month, a portion of Blue Clay Road will be shuttered for two days due to repaving needs.

The section closed will be at the intersection of North College Road; it will close starting Monday, May 19, at 7 a.m. and will remain closed to through traffic in both directions to all the way to Sidbury Road. Only local traffic will be allowed.

Drivers are asked to detour around the closure via Parmele Road for two days. The repavement projects is part of the Cape Fear Public Utility Authroity’s Northern Regional Pump Station and Force Main Project. It will significantly increase CFPUA’s sewer collection capacity in Northern New Hanover County.
