Carolina Beach smoke-tests sanitary sewer system

CAROLINA BEACH — For three days this week, the Town of Carolina Beach will be conducting smoke testing of its sanitary sewer system.

The testing will take place Nov. 12-15, and will involve opening and entering of manholes in the streets and public utility easements.

The areas affected include:

  • Blocks between Columbia Avenue and Carolina Sands Drive (north to south)
  • Blocks between South Lake Park Boulevard and Eighth Street (east to west)
  • South Lake Park Boulevard from Hewitt Avenue to Ocean Boulevard (north to south)
  • All Carolina Beach Avenue South
