Monday, Aug. 26
New Hanover County Board of Education will meet at 2 p.m. in the NHC Board of Education Center, 1809 S 13th St. It can be livestreamed here.
Belville Board of Comissioners will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Chambers, 63 River Road in Belville. Mrrtings are open to the public.The agenda includes:
- A resolution autjhrozining the town submit a grant application to the WMPO for the introduction engineering, design and construction of the Gullah Geechee Heritage Trail Gap Project.
- Amendments to sections 501 and 502 of the town’s subdivision ordinance.
- Update on the Belville Riverwalk
Tuesday, Aug. 27
Carolina Beach Town Hall Multipurpose will consist of strategic planning items, with multiple presentations by Pivot Parking and the Carolina Beach Police Foundation. As well there will be discussions about long-range capital planning, Freeman Park, and the town’s centennial celebration; see the agenda here. The meeting starts at 8:30 a.m. in Council Chambers, 1121 N. Lake Park Blvd. Livestream is available here.
New Hanover County Board of Adjustment meets at 5 p.m. at 230 Government Center Dr., Suite 110. The agenda includes a 1.12-foot variance request submitted by Seth Huntt of Source Contracting Solutions, LLC on behalf of property owner Storehouse Holdings, LLC, from the minimum required regulatory flood protection elevation requirement of 17’ in the county UDO. It’s for a residence at at 1508 Marsh Cove Lane.
Town of Leland’s Planning Board will meet at 6 p.m. in Leland’s Town Hall, 102 Town Hall Drive. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:
- Policy Analysis on Enhancing Bikeability
- Master Land Use Plan Amendment for the Brunswick Forest
- Policies Related to Coastal Development for Inclusion in Leland 2045
Town of Oak Island’s Business Advisory Board will meet at 9 a.m. in the police department training room in Town Hall, 4621 East Oak Island Drive. An agenda was not posted by press.
Wednesday, Aug. 28
Topsail Beach Planning Board will meet at 10 a.m. The agenda includes a text amendment to establish special flood hazard areas. The board meets at Town Hall, 820 S Anderson Blvd. Access videos here.
Town of Leland’s Parks and Recreation Board will meet at 6 p.m. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes a monthly staff report.
The Wilmington Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization will meet at 3 p.m. in Conference Room 1238 on the 12th Floor in Skyline Center located at 929 North Front St. The agenda includes a resolution approving WMPO’s local input point assignment for regional impact tier projects for prioritization 7.0. Thursday, Aug. 29
Bald Head Island Planning Board will hold a special meeting at 1 p.m. in the multi-purpose room of the Department of Public Safety, 273 Edward Teach Wynd. The agenda includes swearing-in of new and returning members, election of chair and vice chair, as well as reviewing a request to subdivide 31 East Beach Drive, and to add “Distillery” as a use in the PD-2C zoning district and consider alternative staff recommendations on text amendments to add definitions for the following “Brewery, Cidery, Distillery, Winery”; “Bar, Tavern, Lounge, Wine Shop”; and “Restaurants, Cafes” and to make recommendations on appropriate zoning districts for each.
Friday, Aug. 30
New Hanover County Planning Board will have an agenda review meeting at 3 p.m. at NHC Government Center in Conference Room 138.
