NEW HANOVER COUNTY — Through Friday, the North Carolina Department of Transportation will be repairing a pipe in New Hanover County which will alter travel on one road.
Dove Field Drive, located in an Ogden neighborhood, closed after Tropical Storm Debby brought upward of 15 inches of rain to the southeastern North Carolina region. Crews executed temporary repairs to reopen the road last week, but a permanent fix is needed.
Work began Tuesday morning, with Dove Field Drive scheduled to reopen by Friday evening, according to NCDOT.
Motorists should cautiously drive around work zones and utilize nearby roads while the closure is in effect.
