Pre-K open enrollment in effect in New Hanover County

NEW HANOVER COUNYTY — The county school district’s open enrollment for pre-K students opened at the beginning of the month.

Parents wishing to enroll their kids who turn 3 or 4 by Aug. 31, 2024 can apply.

Pre-K students receive full-day instruction by certified teachers and free tuition, meals and snacks. Nine district sites and 10 partner childcare sites are open throughout the county. There are also special education services and support for multilingual students.
