WILMINGTON — An informative session will be held for downtown residents and business owners regarding public safety.

Members of the Wilmington Police Department and Wilmington Downtown Inc. are hosting a community meeting at 3 p.m. Nov. 15 in the top floor taproom of Front Street Brewery, 9 N. Front St.

The purpose of the gathering is to brainstorm ways for locals to actively participate in enhancing community safety, gain insights by WPD’s STING Center and memorandum of understanding with businesses, as well as a 15-minunte question-and-answer session.

The goal is to foster collaboration and engage individuals in downtown’s initiatives to promote a safer district. The discussion will focus solely on safety and collaborative solutions to bridge the challenges of downtown policing with those facing the business community.

The meeting is free and open to the public. Non-alcoholic refreshments and chips and salsa will be served.
