Victim of Friday shooting stabbed to death

WILMINGTON — A man who was shot in his car early Friday has died after being stabbed the same evening.

Wilmington Police Department reported to the 800 block of N. 6th Street around 6:45 p.m. on June 9 in response to a 911 call about a stabbing. Upon arrival, they found 32-year-old Daniel Webb-Sholar injured; he died at the scene from his wounds.

Webb-Sholar also was identified as the victim of the shooting on the 2000 block of Colwell Avenue around 1:30 p.m Friday. He was sitting in his car when a suspect approached and fire a gun. Webb-Sholar was transported to Novant NHRMC with non-life-threatening wounds.

Law enforcement has arrested 35-year-old Terry Earl Hooper with first degree murder. It is unknown if Hooper also was involved in Friday’s shooting incident.
