Names revealed of victims in weekend traffic collision, two perished

WILMINGTON — Law enforcement has released the identities of three Wilmingtonians in a weekend traffic incident, two of whom passed away from injuries.

The vehicle crash took place on Saturday, Feb. 11, around 1:43 a.m. Though still under investigation, Wilmington Police Department noted the driver and passenger died: Joseph Tocci, 23, and Kayla Rick, 28.

Tocci was believed to be the driver.

Alfred Pattison Jr., 22, also of Wilmington, was the driver of the other vehicle. He was transported to Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center. WPD said Pattison’s condition is now stable.
