Tri-county schools check-in: NHCS reports 41 cases, BCS confirms 77, PCS reports 14

SOUTHEASTERN N.C. — New Hanover County Schools reported 41 Covid-19 cases last week, according to the district’s latest update on its public dashboard. In its first full week of optional masking –– and therefore, stricter state quarantine guidelines –– it directed 100 students and staff members to quarantine.

Brunswick County Schools reported its last case count of the year Friday on its dashboard. For the week of Dec. 13 to Dec. 17, the school system confirmed 77 active Covid-19 cases and assigned 471 quarantines due to close contact with another person who tested positive for the virus.
