A man is in the hospital after yet another shooting in Wilmington

WILMINGTON — A 33-year-old man is in the hospital with non-life-threatening wounds after being shot off Princess Place Drive.

“Around 11:10 p.m. Monday, May 11, Wilmington police responded to the 3100 block of Princess Place Drive in reference to a multiple-round Shotspotter alert. Upon arrival, they found a 33-year-old male suffering from non-life threatening wounds. He was transported to NHRMC,” according to the Wilmington Police Department.

On Sunday a man was killed in a shooting off Oleander Drive on Sunday, three individuals have been charged with murder. One of the suspects, Dequan Mullins, has a voter registration address in Creekwood; Monday’s shooting took place near the entrance to the Creekwood neighborhood.

Police have not made any statement on whether or not the incidents are gang-related and connected.
