CAROLINA BEACH — Limited information is being released in the now-confirmed death of an infant in Carolina Beach.
The Carolina Beach Police Department has named the deceased as a 1-month-old infant, but Port City Daily is choosing not to include this information in initial reporting. However, as the investigation moves forward that information could become pertinent and, if so, will be included.
“The N.C. Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death. The incident is still currently under investigation and no additional information will be released,” according to the Carolina Beach Police Department.
