WILMINGTON — Authorities responded to multiple ShotSpotter alerts near the Huston Moore Terrace housing complex on Sunday night; despite evidence of a shooting, there were no witnesses and no apparent injuries.
According to the Wilmington Police Department (WPD), “[a]round 10:20 p.m. Sunday, November 24, Wilmington police received three ShotSpotter alerts at almost the same time from the vicinity of the 1300-block of Greenfield Street.”
According to WPD, officers found over a dozen shell casing in the area. Officers could not locate any witnesses and there were apparently no injuries. WPD officers patrolled the area for the rest of the night without incident.
It is not known if the incident was related to the Friday night shooting which injured at least three people.
