BRUNSWICK COUNTY — Randall Woodruff has officially taken the reins as Brunswick County’s Manager. Woodruff’s first day was Monday, and at Monday’s Commissioner meeting, Ann Hardy asked the board to delegate her authority to the former Pender County Manager.
Also at the meeting, Representatives Deb Butler and Frank Iler presented Hardy with the Order of the Long Leaf Pine for her decades of public service.

The honor is awarded by the Office of the Governor and reserved for individuals who go above and beyond their call of duty.
Hardy retires Nov. 1 after serving the county for 14 years. Both Hardy and Woodruff will work side-by-side at the county for a two-week transition period until her retirement.
