
WILMINGTON — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in an armed robbery case thanks to a tip that came through Crime Stoppers.
According to a press release, “James Randolph Williams has been arrested for armed robbery of the Circle K gas station on Gordon Rd from January 29. A tip came through Crime Stoppers with information leading investigators to Williams.”
Williams is in the New Hanover County Detention Facility under a $25,000 secure bond. A second arrest has also been made of the getaway driver, according to NHCSO.
“Yul Bannerman has been arrested in connection with f the armed robbery of the Circle K gas station on Gordon Rd from January 29. Bannerman was driving the vehicle Williams fled in. He has been charged with Conspiracy of robbery with a dangerous weapon. Bannerman turned himself in this morning to the Sheriff’s Office. Bannerman has a secure bond of $100,000,” according to the release.
